Naples Writers’ Workshop

The first winter session of the Naples Writers’ Workshop for seasonal residents and writers of fiction will take place beginning January 2018. It will last for 13 weeks and feature three speakers. Each session will also include a short lesson. Participants will share their own writing during these sessions. We will culminate with a public reading.

To sign up, please email me directly at I’ll respond with the workshop schedule, reading list and curriculum.

The paid winter workshop is a spin-off of a fiction workshop I began in Naples, Florida in 2014. This past year, the workshop divided into two separate groups for short story writers and novelists.

Each subset of the Naples Writers’ Workshop meets every other Wednesday to share stories and offer constructive criticism.

This ad featuring reporters and what they do in their spare time ran in the Naples Daily News in 2014. The photographer came and shot pictures of me at the writing group as part of it.

I majored in newspaper journalism but minored in writing with the hopes of one day publishing novels and screenplays. During the summer of 2011, I spent six weeks in Dublin, Ireland for a fiction workshop through the University of Iowa. I blogged about that trip using my Tumblr account.
