Kent State history series

During my last semester as an enterprise reporter for the Daily Kent Stater, I wrote a 12-week series on the history of the university in light of its 2010 centennial. I was a KSU history nut before, but this series solidified my obsession. Each week I talked with authors of two Kent State history books; The Years of Youth by Phillip Shriver and A Most Noble Enterprise by William H. Hildebrand. I also worked with members of the Kent Historical Society, the university library, the Alumni Association and countless KSU grads. I tried to use a narrative voice to paint a picture of each decade at our school.
